"Galugnano — una storia minore" ("Galugnano — a minor history") by Franco Michele Dell'Anna, illustrated by architect Luca Dell'Anna (Congedo Editore, Galatina).
460 pages, over 200 photographs and drawings, around 60 documents, five years of dedicated research and a deep love for his native land and its people. The book is dedicated to the author's father, to his wife Ada, to their children Luca, Monica and Matteo, and to all the people of Galugnano: it tells of figures of national and local standing, but also of ordinary townsfolk living a daily life that could belong to any small Salento town.
Visiting Galugnano
Guided tours can be arranged, including excursions to the nearby "Grecìa Salentina" area, Otranto, Gallipoli and other typical Salento towns, with optional overnight stays in Lecce (11 km) or Galatina (7 km) and lunch at a local restaurant featuring traditional Galugnano cuisine.
